Tara Hudson, 26, who has lived all her adult life as a woman but has yet to have the final op, was jailed for headbutting a bar manager and then thrown in an all male jail.
But at her appeal on Friday she told judges about the "frightening" taunts over her gender.
This included chants of "Tara, Tara, show us your t***".
But while a judge at Bristol Crown Court blocked her bid to be released from jail, he did say the prison service should consider where she spends the rest of her 12-week sentence.
And now Tara has been moved to an all-women prison.
She was transferred to HMP Eastwood Park, a female closed prison around 15 miles from Bristol in South Gloucestershire with approximately 350 prisoners.
