Kanye's fashion house: Inside the austere $4.5m loft that inspired West's CLOTHING line with its neutral colors and stark rooms
Rapper Kanye West (pictured with wife Kim Kardashian inset) shocked the fashion world when he revealed his second Yeezy collection in September featuring skin-tight vests and leggings and shapeless sweaters (bottom right) in a range of natural inspired neutral tones from pale nudes, through to army green, brown and then black. While the fashion world couldn't seem to make up their minds about the post-apocalyptic autumn line, the inspiration for his monochrome palettes and simplistic designs, could not be clearer. His 200 square meter Manhattan loft, designed by his favourite architect Claudio Silvestrin in 2007 and decked out in French limestone and pear wood, is the epitome of high end luxury meets natural minimalism (main and top right).
