Duchess meets Jackie Chan as she turns on the style again at reception for Chinese president - just hours after stealing the show at Buckingham Palace state banquet

Kate Middleton and Prince William meet Jackie Chan and Chinese president Xi Jinping
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were joined by film star Jackie Chan as they met Chinese president Xi Jinping and his wife at an event to mark the second day of China's state visit to Britain (pictured together, main). Stealing the show in a plum-coloured lace dress, Kate looked relaxed as she chatted with Madame Peng, a style icon in her own right, outside Lancaster House, in London (left), where the group attended the showcase highlighting the creative ties between Britain and China. Film icon Chan was among those in attendance as the group met with stage and screen stars and enjoyed exhibitions from hit British TV programmes including Poldark and Sherlock. It comes just hours after the duchess stole the show in a stunning red ball gown at a state banquet held at Buckingham Palace (inset).
