Riddings woman who died with husband in explosion was MURDERED say police
The pair, named locally as Simon, 50, and Shelley Saxton-Cooper, 45, were found dead in the bedroom of the house(pictured) they had lived in for 25 years on Valley View Road in Riddings, Derbyshire yesterday. Derbyshire Constabulary announced this afternoon that they are treating the death of Mrs Saxton-Cooper as murder because they believe she was wounded before the explosion and subsequent fire. A floral tribute left at the scene today said: 'Hearts are broken. Married many years and now you are at peace together. A tragedy your lives should end this way. God Bless, Lynn and Richard.' Police, crime scene investigators and fire investigation specialists remain at the scene.
