Shoreham air show death toll could rise to TWENTY as victims' devastated families demand to know why event was ever allowed to take place next to a busy road

Shoreham airshow plane crash: Sister searches for news of missing Matt Jones
Police confirmed 11 people died on Saturday but they fear up to nine more bodies may be found as they used a crane to lift the wreckage of the Hawker jet from the A27 in West Sussex today (pictured centre and inset). Three people, fitness trainer Matt Jones (top right) and footballers Matthew Grimstone and Jacob Schilt (together bottom right), have been confirmed dead. Motorcycling enthusiast Mark Trussler (bottom left with his fiancée Giovanna Chirico) and Daniele Polito (top left) have both been missing since the crash. Today the family of pilot Andy Hill, 51, who is in an induced coma after being pulled from the flaming wreckage of his jet, said they are 'devastated and deeply saddened for the loss of life'. Shoreham Airshow's organisers, the Royal Airforces Association, has been forced to defend its safety record after families wanted to know why the pilot tried a dangerous loop manoeuvre over a dual carriageway. It has also emerged that the Red Arrows refused to perform because the site is 'too dangerous' for stunts and 'there is nowhere for them to put a plane down without killing someone'.
