Inside the Virginia commune where EVERYTHING - from housing and pay to childcare - is shared (but residents must get group PERMISSION before having a baby)

Virginia commune Twin Oaks where EVERYTHING is shared but residents need permission to
The Twin Oaks commune in rural Virginia was formed 48 years ago. It comprises 92 adults and 13 children who live a lifestyle of 'clever poverty' on 450-acres of woodland. On a daily basis, residents live in harmony below the poverty, sharing resources with each other. They grow vegetables together, drive communal cars from Twin Oak's main office, live and sleep in houses with as many as 22 other people, look after each other's children and practice non-monogamy. And perhaps most startling, they have to ask permission from other residents before having a baby.
