Dirty dancing! V Festival turns into a mud bath as parts of Britain are hit by more than a fortnight's rainfall in just 24 hours - and there's more thundery showers on the way
Revellers at this year's V Festival faced mud baths and heavy downpours as more than two weeks' worth of rain fell within a day - and forecasters warn there's more to come this week. Music fans were forced to don raincoats and ponchos as rain lashed the campsite at Weston Park in Staffordshire yesterday, while others took the wet weather all in their stride by larking around in it. Not wanting to let the miserable conditions ruin a good day out, several festival-goers could be seen covered head-to-toe in mud after wrestling on the floor of the deluged campsite (pictured). It comes as forecasters warn more thundery downpours are still to come especially in the south west and south east today with severe weather warnings in place for large swathes of the south of England.
