Simon Cowell Says 1D ‘Can Take Some Time Off And Do Some Other Stuff’

Simon Cowell did indeed speak about 1D this weekend, and yes, he did recommend that the four take a bit of a break, presumably after they complete their fifth album. Or, you know, because Louis Tomlinson is definitely going to be a father. Or maybe because they’ve had quite the dramatic year already.
BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN 1D IS OVER, GUYS.
Cowell told The Sun over the weekend that Harry, Liam, Niall and Louis deserve some time off after years of cranking out consistently successful tunes.
“In terms of the band, they’ve got enough hits now they can take some time off and do some other stuff they want to do,” Cowell said to Sun reporter Dan Wootton. “Then I hope they’ll have a little bit of time apart and want to get back together again. It’s a fun job, but it’s absolutely their decision.”
