The on-loan Blues hitman came on the for the final 20 minutes here to help Mourinho’s men to recover from a goal down to see off the French champions on penalties.
Falcao looked sharp after replacing his former Atletico Madrid strike partner Diego Costa, who was involved in a running battle with PSG full-back Serge Aurier at the Bank of America Stadium.
He stepped up to score his spot-kick in the shoot-out as the Blues registered their first win of pre-season following Wednesday’s dramatic 4-2 defeat in New York at the hands of the Red Bulls.
Zlatan Ibrahimovich had fired PSG into a first half lead before Victor Moses levelled after the break, the former Crystal Palace winger slotting home from Cesc Fabregas’ cracking center.
Mourinho, however, was full of praise for Falcao who looked sharp and full of movement while also defending Costa.
“He isn’t as tired as the others, the others have done 10 days. He’s just done two. He has just arrived, trained two days , so he has the sharpness and no fatigue. It was good for him to come in and score in the shootout, “ said the Portuguese.
On Costa he added:"Aurier is a person who doesn't normally play for PSG. He wanted to make a mark but maybe Diego was too soft for him."
