'A coward and a killer': Protesters target US dentist's surgery after he admits paying $55,000 to kill Cecil - Africa's most famous lion - as supermodels lead international outrage at animal's death

The last known photograph (left) of Cecil the Lion (pictured bottom) has emerged after Dr Walter Palmer (pictured left in top right and right in bottom right) shot him dead in Zimbabwe. Stuffed animals and a sign (centre) calling the American dentist a 'killer' have been placed at his office in Bloomington, Minnesota. Amidst a tidal wave of Internet outrage, one of the strongest denunciations belong to the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, which posted on Twitter that Palmer should be 'hanged' if the allegations are true. Celebrities including models Cara Delevingne and Candice Swanepoel blasted the dentist, calling him a 'poor excuse of a human being' (inset).
