The Hate It Or Love It rapper surrenders to Los Angeles police, who book him on suspicion of making criminal threats.
Los Angeles police Officer Mike Lopez said the 35-year-old artist, real name Jayceon Terrell Taylor, surrendered at the department's Hollywood Division at noon on Monday.
Taylor, who is from Compton, allegedly threw a punch at the officer in an incident caught on video and posted online.
Mr Lopez said Taylor was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats.
He posted $50,000 (£32,700) bail about an hour later.
The Game is one of Dr Dre's most notable proteges and was nominated for two Grammy awards in 2006.
