During a wide-ranging hour-long conversation with WTF podcast host Marc Maron (pictured in inset), Obama weighed in on the debate over race relations and gun control that has erupted after the racially motivated killings in Charleston, South Carolina, last Wednesday. The president said the fact that it is no longer polite to say the N-word in public does not mean the US has been cured of racism.
