Get ready for hottest day for NINE years! Temperatures to soar to 95F tomorrow - but experts warn a Saharan dust cloud will blow in

UK weather to see the hottest day for nine years with temperatures of up to 35C
Britain is basking in sizzling temperatures as hot air from the Continent makes the UK hotter than Rio De Janeiro today and tomorrow is set to be the hottest day for nine years. But the soaring temperatures are expected to bring a host of issues. The Met Office has issued a 'Level 2' health alert for much of the country, which warns of danger to the elderly and young children, and those with respiratory illnesses have been advised to avoid the sun. Hayfever sufferers are also being warned to take extra preventative measures as the pollen count and UV levels are currently extremely high, and experts have warned the heatwave could see dust blown over to the UK from the Sahara. First Great Western has also cancelled some train services in and out of London after Network Rail imposed speed restrictions on several lines amid fears the extreme heat could cause tracks to buckle. The mercury is predicted to hit 31C (88F) today and 35C (95F) on Wednesday, making Britain hotter than parts of Brazil, Ibiza and Lanzarote.
