Mother's agony as she hears how her two young children died from carbon monoxide poisoning in Corfu chalet during half-term holiday with her ex-husband and his new girlfriend

Bobby and Christi Shepherd died of carbon monoxide poisoning at Corfu holiday chalet
Christi Shepherd, seven, and her younger brother Bobby, six, (pictured together, centre) died in their sleep at their family chalet at the four-star Corcyra Beach Hotel on the Greek island in October 2006. Their father, Neil Shepherd, and his girlfriend Ruth Beatson, who he has since married, (together, left) were also almost killed by the fumes during the half-term break with the children, who lived in Horbury, West Yorkshire. The children's mother, Sharon Wood and her husband Paul (together, left) also attended today's inquest, which was told by the engineering expert who examined the chalet that the boiler was working harder than it should have been and a safety cut-off device had been short-circuited, probably after other holidaymakers staying in the adjacent chalet complained of having no hot water.
