African husband, 45, threatens hunger strike after taking his British wife, 88, of 13
Ousman Jatta, 45, (left) married wife Beryl, 88, 13 years ago after meeting in Gambia and the pair moved to Bristol in 2006 when Mrs Jatta (pictured with her husband, right) became ill with dementia. Mr Jatta, who is his wife's carer, took her to the Avon Lodge Care Centre in Bristol while he returned to Africa but when he came back three weeks later he was told his wife could not leave the care home.
