Jeremy Clarkson (pictured outside his home yesterday) is expected to be sacked today after a BBC investigation reportedly concluded he ranted for 20 minutes then launched a 30-second physical attack on a Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon after he was offered a plate of cold cuts but wanted steak and chips. But Mr Clarkson tweeted today: 'Just to keep everyone up to date, I haven't heard a thing', despite speculation that Lord Hall, the Director General of the BBC, will today announce that he has been fired. Chris Evans, the man the BBC are said to want to replace Clarkson, said today: 'It's never going to happen - that's the end of the matter'.
