ISIS police sentence musicians to 90 lashes because they were playing an 'un-Islamic' electronic keyboard

The musicians were sentenced to 90 lashes each (left) and had their instruments destroyed (right) after religious police in Bujaq, northern Syria, ruled their music was 'offensive to Muslims'. According to Arabic text posted alongside the images online, the men were punished alongside another man caught imitating a 'hisbah' - likely referring to a local official. The new images came to light after 15 young men were rounded up for breeding pigeons, with three of them allegedly executed. Yesterday reports emerged that 13 teenage boys had been shot for watching an Asian Cup football match between Iraq and Jordan.
