DNA paternity tests to be carried out on body of baby found at vicarage as detectives question mother, 28, and her vicar father, 64, on suspicion of murder


The Rev Jim Percival (right) was named locally as the 64-year-old man arrested in Freckleton, Lancashire, after a woman - named locally as his daughter Ruth - had a reported still birth at his vicarage (left) last week. She was taken to hospital but post mortem results on the baby boy were inconclusive and his death was later declared suspicious. The pair were arrested yesterday morning and are being quizzed on suspicion of murder and conspiring to conceal a child's birth at Blackpool Police Station. A woman, 65, named locally as vicar's wife Susan, was also arrested and was being questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to conceal a child's birth.
