The system, known as an 'explosive cyclogenesis' or 'weather bomb', is expected to pass just to the south of Iceland - staying far away from the UK. But it will affect Britain by bringing wet and windy conditions tomorrow night, which will stay for Wednesday and possibly Thursday. Most of the UK was under a severe weather warning today, with the Met Office stating we will suffer the 'first notable north-westerly blast of the year'.
