Mother told 14-year-old son she was going to the shops and then left him home alone in charge of five siblings as young as THREE - while she went on six-week holiday in Australia with her internet boyfriend


The single mother from Birmingham was handed a six month prison sentence, suspended for two years, after she refused to end her six week holiday early. The single mother left her 14-year-old son in charge of his younger siblings, one just three years old, after telling him she was going to the shops. The woman admitted six counts of wilful abandonment at Birmingham Crown Court.
