Paper Magazine's editorial director Mickey Boardman said the explicit nature of the photographs was entirely Ms Kardashian's creation.
He said: "Kim's attitude was, 'if we're gonna do it, let's really go there'."
Well, she definitely went there – all the way to naked town.
Boardman added: "It was her idea to take her clothes off and show more than her butt. We didn't say, 'let's do a cover with your butt hanging out'.
"She was willing to take her clothes off and one thing lead to another."
In a second image from today's new release, Kanye's missus turns to give a side profile of her famous rump – flashing her bare breast in the process.
