The rapper claimed that she nearly died last week in a rambling speech while accepting the gong for best hip-hop female.
However, even more shocking is the fact that Nicki claimed that she didn't call an ambulance because she thought the news would surface online.
The 31-year-old said: "I just wanna say that, the other day, literally I didn’t tell anyone this, I really thought I was about to die. Like I was saying my prayers to die.
"And I didn’t even wanna call the ambulance because I thought, well, if I call the ambulance, it’s gonna be on TMZ. And I would rather sit there and die… and it made me realise, I don’t care what anybody gotta say. I’ma do me, I’ma do me."

Nicki wasn't the only artist at the awards to lash out at celeb site TMZ, with Jay Z dissing the site that leaked the video of the infamous Solange lift fight in a freestyle rap before his wife Beyoncé sang Partition.
The rapper spat: "Little TMI for you TMZ" with a smile on his face.
Miss Minaj appeared on stage at the Nokia Theatre in LA wearing a relatively modest full-length bodycon dress that highlighted her banging curves, with the starlet shunning her candy-coloured wigs and neon lippie for a natural do and polished make-up.
But while Nicki has re-invented her look, she certainly hasn't lost her love of celeb feuds.
The star chucked a whole lot of shade at a certain hip-hop rival in the beginning of her speech.

After slightly promoting her upcoming album, the former American Idol judge said: "My point is, what I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is, that when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it."
The crowd exploded into laughs and cheers while Nicki muttered: "No, no, no shade. No, no, no shade."
This insult was thought to be aimed at Iggy Azalea, the Fancy rapper who is topping charts the world over – but doesn't write her own rhymes.
Rapper beef, anyone?
