'Joint lit, happy days!' One Direction's Zayn and Louis filmed 'smoking marijuana'

THEY have managed to become the world's biggest boyband without a scandal to their name – well, besides the odd cougar relationship.

But One Direction have been rocked by footage which shatters their squeaky clean image.
In a leaked five minute clip, boybanders Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson are allegedly seen smoking a joint and joking about drugs while driving to Peru's Estadio Nacional to perform.
Zayn and Louis, minus bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Liam Payne, are seen travelling in a car to Lima with three members of their team while 22-year-old Louis films their journey on his phone.
Smoke billows from behind the screen, with Louis announcing: "So here we are, leaving Peru. Joint lit. Happy days... What do you think Zayn? About that kind of content?"

Zayn, 21, is then heard replying: "I think it’s very controversial."
As police drive by on motorbikes, Louis adds: "That’s the police. That’s the po po... Nice. I’m trying to blow it into the camera. Smokescreen baby!"
The singer then jokes as Zayn attempts exaggerated vocal warm-ups: "That’s just Zayn warming up there before the show. Zayn takes his job very seriously. He makes sure he goes through a two-hour intense warm up regime before every show, just to get himself in the zone.
"One very, very important factor to Zayn’s warm up, of course is Mary Jane herself. In fact I’m presenting it to him now for some fantastic singing."
Louis, who cannot be seen from behind the camera, passes what looks to be a lit joint to his friend, who puffs away while being filmed.

The police come up in conversation once more as Louis says: "He’s having a look and he’s thinking I’m sure I can smell an illegal substance in there. And he’s hit the nail on the head."
The X Factor stars also discuss their last book, with Zayn moaning that he wants the next edition to contain: sick pictures…sick s*** instead of boring c***" that he is "sure the fans are tired of reading".
According to Peruvian law, it is legal to have up to eight grams of marijuana for personal use and immediate consumption as long as you have no other drugs in your possession.

Reaction to the video amongst Directioners has been varied, with some devastated 1D lovers tweeting that they were leaving the fandom.
However, most Directioners called for the lads to be left alone, with many pointing out that the pair were still thinking about the fans.
Professor Green was on the side of Louis as well, with the rapper tweeting: "I just don't get why they cause people such torment, two blokes having a zoot and a giggle in the back of a car… let them live for f**** sake".
A spokesperson for One Direction has said: "The matter is now in the hands of our lawyers."
